We are excited to be performing an Earth Day benefit show for the nonprofit foundation, Friends of Trees. The show will take place at The Blue Room Bar on SE 82nd Avenue adjacent to the Cartlandia food cart pod on Friday, April 22nd starting at 8:30 pm.
We are asking attendees to make a $5 donation, which will sponsor the planting of a tree by the Friends of Trees foundation. Help us reach our target to raise $500, enough to plant 100 trees in communities around the Portland and Eugene-metro areas.
Weekend Assembly will be playing at the finish line to the Portland Century Bike Race for the 5th year in a row! We'll be providing live music to finishers as they congregate around the University of Portland campus for food, drink and relaxation. The campus is open to pedestrians, so please drop by and listen to some music.
This year will be Weekend Assembly's 5th consecutive year playing at the Petal Pedal Bike Race at the Oregon Gardens in Silverton, OR. We will be playing a full 5 hours of music for race finishers as they guzzle Hopworks beers and strut around in spandex. This event is for race participants, but for any friends who may want to attend, please reach out and we'll see if we can get you entry to the event.
This will be our first year playing at the Frisbee Masters Tournament happening during Memorial Day weekend at Silver Creek Falls State Park. This event is for participants in the tournament, but will feature camping, food, music, dancing, fires and lots of frisbee tossing. We hope to see some your sign up for the tournament and join us for one hell of an after party.
As a special event during the Craft Brewers Conference in Portland, we will be playing music during an incredible sour beer event featuring Cascade Brewing and Firestone Walker Brewing. Opening at 7:30 will be bluegrass band Black Lodge, featuring Cascade's brewmaster, Ron Gansberg, on guitar and doboro, followed by two sets from Weekend Assembly. Come out to this unique event for an amazing night of live music and sour beer!
